Congratulations goes out to folklore student Kylie Schroeder, who will be interning with the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress during May and June of this year.  Kylie will be working with Folklife Specialist Todd Harvey, as well as with Library of Congress archivists on several different projects.  She will also be helping organize the American Folklife Center’s concert and lecture series. We are excited for Kylie and look forward to hearing about her experiences as a DC intern when she returns.

The folklore program has successfully placed a number of students with the American Folklife Center over the past several years.  Past interns have worked on a variety of exciting projects, including the Civil Rights History Project and the Alan Lomax Project, among other collections. Look for Kyle's presentation about her work with the Library of Congress this fall.
